Bread with barley and whole wheat, healthy and true from the first try ❤️ Moroccan kitchen.
✨- Ingredients:
- A barley bowl as in the image and 2 wheat bowl
- Salt
- A medium spoon of yeast
- Two spoons of olive oil
- Warm water for kneading
✨- Method:
Preparing the dough:
In a deep bowl, mix the barley and whole wheat with a pinch of salt and yeast.
Add the olive oil, and start adding warm water gradually while kneading until you get a soft, moist dough (the dough should be a little loose).
First fermentation:
Cover the dough with a clean cloth and leave it in a warm place to ferment until it doubles in size.
Second fermentation:
After the first fermentation, remove the air from the dough by lightly kneading, then leave it to ferment again.
Shaping the dough:
Divide the dough into small balls, then dip them in the barley semolina.
Place the balls on a tray greased with oil and sprinkled with flour, and press them slightly in the middle (without flattening them completely).
Final fermentation:
Leave the balls to ferment a little again before baking.
Baking:
Preheat the oven to a high temperature, then bake the balls until they are golden and fully cooked.
✨ Serving:
Serve the whole wheat barley bread hot with olive oil or honey for a healthy and delicious experience! Enjoy ❤️.
